Our December Team-Building Retreat in Pingtan Island, China

Mid-December, the IFSTAR ケース left our usual work behind. We headed to Pingtan Island in Fujian Province, China, for a four-day team-building getaway.

This wasn’t just a quick holiday. It was a good chance to boost teamwork, get better at talking to each other, and think about our company values again.

Day 1: Getting There and Chatting (December 14)

On December 14, folks from Sales, Design, and Order Processing got to the island. We stayed at a cozy local homestay.

No emails or tight schedules. Everyone could chat freely and get to know each other better.

Team building helps knock down barriers between departments. Those easy talks that first night made things more open and trusting. It really helps when we’re back at work.

Day 2: Early Sunrise and Beach Fun (December 15)

Day two kicked off at 6 a.m. We all met by the sea to catch the sunrise.

That peaceful moment together made us feel closer. It was a nice reminder about working toward the same things.

Then we headed to Jingsha Beach. We played around by the water and snapped some group pictures. The fresh air got everyone thinking creatively.

Being outside like that ties right into our jobs. A lot of our stuff, like those waterproof drone cases, has to handle rough weather.

Afternoon, we went down to the shore to grab some seafood.

It was fun and showed how team building helps with coordination and quick thinking. We had to assign jobs and help each other out. Kind of like designing useful toolboxes or rack mount cases, where everything needs to work smoothly.

Day 3: Out on the Boat and Fishing (December 16)

On December 16, we took the boat out to do some net fishing. Later, we tried rod fishing for a bit. Being out there on the water, you really notice how much trust and patience matter. Everybody helps with the jobs. That teamwork makes us better at dealing with problems.

The sea can turn rough without warning. It’s a lot like building careful products — things like good gun cases — where you need to focus on the small stuff, follow the rules exactly, and work well as a team to get it right.

Fishing in the afternoon was a good break. It helped everyone relax and feel better. When the team gets along well, we finish tough work quicker. And it means we can keep giving our customers the top products they expect.

Day 4: Back Home Feeling Good (December 17)

After those great days, we went back to Yiwu on December 17.

The trip ended, but the better relationships and fun memories stuck with us at the office.
