The 2U Aluminum Rack Case is very sturdy, all the parts fix snuggly together. Considering how strong it is, relatively speaking it is light, but we must say it is not a feather weight.
Once you add the equipment to it, it takes two people to move it. It weighs what it should to be the quality that it is. When the case is moved after fully loaded with mixer, amp, and two small speakers,(amazing we could get all that in the case) there is no twisting or turning of the parts of the case. Everything is solidly secure in the case. The case is always kept in it normal orientation, so it was not turned on its side in the rain. However, the case was completely wet on the outside.
We dried it off with paper towels, brought the case inside, opened it, hung the speakers, powered it up and played music immediately because the was no moisture inside. That requires some pretty precise joins between the base and covers.
With the case empty, it is fairly balance while holding each of the handles in the center. However, with that crown amp more on one side that the other, that one side is heavier and thus the handles in the center make picking it up a little more difficult because the case wants to dip to the heavier side. 4 handles would make it more stable.
